Director and Co Founder
Vanessa, a founding member of Gatekeeper, has been key to our success, with experience across all areas of the business. In 2006, she established the Property Care Team, laying the foundation for a key division. As the person who ensures harmony and well-being, Vanessa plays a central role in team happiness. Now part-time, she oversees Finance and leads our IT and recruitment partner companies
Phil Kendall
Sales and Letting Director and Co Founder
Phil is one of Gatekeeper's founding members, having been with the company since it all began in 2003, bringing a wealth of experience from the retail sector. You’ll need to get up very early to beat him into the office! His priority has always been to support both customers and colleagues, and he’s taken on nearly every role in the business, always with a focus on building long-term relationships.
Lucy Forde
Partner- Property Care Director
Lucy joined us in 2012 as the Director of Property Care, bringing a decade of banking experience. Her relentless drive and commitment plays a pivotal role in shaping Gatekeeper into the company it is today. Lucy is instrumental in developing our processes and ethos, always ensuring we stay true to our values. Her leadership is key in building a strong team that consistently delivers our mission.
Dan Thorne
Partner- Sales & Letting Director
Dan joined Gatekeeper as a Sales and Letting Manager in 2018 and was promoted to Sales and Letting Director in 2020. He leads the sales team and has been instrumental in shaping our customer-first culture. As our chief "good news" storyteller, he’s always finding ways to celebrate successes and uplift the team.
Sam Mawson
Senior Sales and Lettings Manager
Sam joined Gatekeeper in 2020, bringing 10 years of sales experience. From day one, his hard work and supportive approach have made him a favorite among colleagues. Sam’s positive energy, attention to detail, and willingness to get stuck in have been essential to growing the team and driving sales expansion.
Kenya Ferguson
Senior Sales and Lettings Manager
Kenya joined Gatekeeper in 2022, bringing with her valuable industry experience. Driven and passionate, she’s happiest when out meeting customers and selling property. She prioritises supporting her team and fostering a positive environment, which is why they love working with her.
Alice Luke
Senior Property Manager
Alice joined Gatekeeper in December 2022, bringing her six years of public sector experience and a genuine passion for putting customers first. With a natural drive to continuously improve the business, she’s focused on ensuring every client feels valued and supported.
Charlie Abbiss
Senior Property Manager
Charlie joined Gatekeeper in early 2023, bringing 8 years of expertise from retail and operational roles across various industries. With a proven track record of building strong relationships, Charlie's commitment to his customers is his top priority. He's the go-to person for anything technical, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Senior Finance and Office Manager
Steph joined Gatekeeper in 2024, bringing 12 years of experience in finance roles across various industries. With a sharp eye for detail, she plays a key role in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, helping the business manage its growth.
